US ---- E US scabbard question???

Has any one noticed that the E US scabbard is about an inch longer than the US marked scabbard?? The one I received had a Greek name scratched on the back of the scabbard???

Sounds like at one time it was issued to a Greek. The scabbard that came with my E US Bayonette is identical to the scabbard on my UC PAL MOD M1905E1 bayonette that I bought in the early 1990s.
