I have an M1 bayonet marked 60-6 with a circlular symbol and KS on it. Who made it?

As far as I know was made for or in Taiwan.

Made for Taiwan and can be pricey when you find them. The oldsmithy bayonet sight has some detailed information on them.

I knew I had seen that marking before---why are they 'pricey'?

I don't know why they are unless it is because they are relatively uncommon compared to some of the others. It's been a while since I compared prices but back when I was looking to add one to my collection they carried about a 15-25% premium over a standard common maker M-1 bayonet. The bayonets are almost as addictive as the rifles when it comes to collecting they just take up less space.
