Navy/ Marine M1905 16" bayo (Pix)

Here is my 16" Navy/ Marine Model 1905 made in 1918. The blade has not been sharpened and is a deep dull blue, not parkerized. Grip has a repair to the wood scale but it could be factory done I suppose.
Scabbard has the thin cloth Marine cover with cutter tag dated 1941.

I assume based on how long I have had it and where it came from prior to me getting it that it is legit.
Anyone seen one like this? Yes, and I do plan to sell, just need to be sure what I have.

To the best of my knowledge there wasn't any Navy/Marine model of 1905 bayonets made, just general issue to whatever branch of service needed them. I do agree with your calling the scabbard cover a USMC repalcment cover though. I thought most of the M1905's made in 1918 were black parkerized but this is the first blued one I've seen. Interesting. Any thought as to how much you'll be asking for this? Thanks for posting this.

Looks to be a side sewn USMC replacement scabbard cover with the depot tag on it from 1941.....cool item
