Picked up a Winchester 1895/Russian bayonet

This came along the other day, I thought at first it was for the 1917, but after a bit of searching conclude it was a Russian contract for the 1895 Winchester and made by Winchester. The best refrence picture was of one for sale for the paultry amount of $1,495.
Is this in fact a Russian contract bayonet for the 1895 in 7.62x54R cal?
Was it also used by US Forces?

It does appear to be the long bayonet supplied with the Russian Contract Model 1895 rifles. It was not used by the US. The bayonet supplied with the US contract M1895 rifles in .30-40 caliber (almost all of which were sold as surplus without ever having been unpacked) was similar but much shorter.

The Winchester 1895 bayonet also fit the Model 1897 COMMERCIAL trench shotgun, the lug was specifically altered to accept the 1895 bayonet as the 1917 bayonets were still part of US inventory.

      Wanna sell it?
