srs check info

hello all,new here and was wondering how to get a srs check on a krag,got one i picked up in ohio few years back with the sn 268975

Their are two ways. One is to join SRS and then write them a letter requesting information on a serial number. Two post the number as you have done and someone with the SRS books will look up the number for you.Your number is not listed the closest is 268987. 6-26-30 returned to RIA from US Pen. Leavenworth. Several numbers in that range sent back but yours not listed so no idea where it might have been.
