I've been on the road a week or so, went thru Boise on the return. I did stop at Cabela's for a few items and took a look into the "gun library." They had an OK or better 99 carbine for $899. I did not check the barrel but the rest of it looked OK and it was complete. had the 1898 sight on it. The stock might have been sanded some or it might have been worn enough to smooth the corners - hard to tell.
