Expected S/N range of 1898 Krag rifles with a 1903 stock cartouches?

What would/might the expected S/N range of an 1898 Krag rifle with a cartouche date of 1903 be? Also, what rear sight/handguard combination would you expect to see?

For a rough, quick, answer - north of 425000.

I would expect, in this order, a 1901 or a 1902 rear sight. Anything else would be unlikely (the words "never", "always", and "impossible", don't seem to apply to Krags).
