      For starters:

Gas checked 311299 cast from air cooled wheel weight alloy. 16.5 grains 4759. Lars' White Label BAC lube. Be prepared to fall in love.

That's my completely unsolicited two cents worth.

Have fun and I can't wait to hear how it shoots!

Heck Mark... I don't fire cast... I only shoot 220 Gr round nose jacketed - and I still fell in love! It's hard to NOT love a Krag, firing any load!!!

Beautiful Krag ! Nicest one I have ever seen in fact.

If it isn't unissued it is as close to it as any of us will see in this lifetime!

          Congrats,

It is a Virgin no more, Rick and I spent the day at the range pissing off the AR crowd by showing them that you don't need a scope to hit the small gong at 200 yards. We took a pair of Krags, a 03, and a Trapdoor.

Rick even bought my dog a Christmas present, a pillow for his kennel, which he had to try out immediately

Call me a troublemaker... but I just LOVE showing up AR shooters with a 115 year old rifle with iron sights!!! LOL

The best was that guy bragging about hitting the same 200yd target with his scoped ar that the krag and trap was hitting.
