    Value on Krag butt plates

I cannot see a solid price on these. A friend asked me to sell one for him and I am lost on what to ask. Original worn with proper numbers inside. Thanks,,Rick

I sold one on e-bay awhile back w/screws,straight auction no reserve,$45.Most I see advertised are $60 + and not many bidders or buyers.Semi-hard to find item but nobody wants to pay much it seems. They look at 03 buttplates and expect to buy them for $15.

Numrich lists the butt plate at $30+, and the screws at around $5 each. Of course, this is for replacement parts. I would think JB is on the mark at $45.

Really nice buttplates with good bluing and some case on the door easily bring $100-$200.

What about muzzle covers? Thank goodness I bought enough when they were $10-$15. Still could use a few carbine sight protectors, but I just won't pay today's price.

Me neither.I've given up on ever owning a carbine.

I need a Muzzle Cover. I saw exactly 1 at the MAAC show last weekend, and it was priced at $120. Needless to say, I still don't have one.

Keep an eye on eBay. IF I go ahead with my planned thinning out program, I MAY have one or two for sale, privately, for a more reasonable price.

Bill Mook had a muzzle cover on every one of his rifles. I can't remember if his carbines all had sight protectors. He told me he never even paid $5 for a muzzle cover. More like .50 to $1.00.
                        What a collection.

I have covers on all my rifles, but am WAY short for my carbines.
