    M1895 Winchester

Well, Guys. Back from DerkaDerkastan for a few weeks. I dug out the some 30-40 ammo to make some dummy rounds for loading and firing drills with the Winchester. It is going to be a real challenge given the few minutes I have dinked with cycling the action in the standing position. I can only imagine how it will be from the prone.

But first I need to get it up to Turnbull's to get a new barrel for it before I can get it on the firing line at Camp Perry. The muzzle was counterbored and the chamber has a very severe ring in it that makes extraction darn near impossible. Fortunately it was found on the first and last time I put a live round through it.
