Range Report National Postal Meter RI Rebuild

We took the NPM and Underwood R.I. Rebuilds to the range today. My shooting buddy bought the NPM and I picked up the Underwood. Picks of the NPM will be posted below.

We shot some Winchester White Box 110 ball and Remington UMC 110 ball through it. The NPM ate all 75 rounds it was fed from 4 different GI 15 round mags.

From 100 yards off bags best group off 3 (5 road groups) was right at 2 inches with Winchester. Second best was right at 2.5 with Winchester. The one group with UMC was just over 3 inches.

We ran the rest on a plate rack from 30 to 50 yards. She ran well and no adjustments had to be made for windage. Gun is wearing a Marlin barrel that life shoots well.

    Pics of rifle to follow...

As long as you get the plunger lined up with the extractor properly it will work fine for you.

Yep I'm hoping whoever put it together last time misaligned. Easy fix if so...

Sounds like both are good shooters. Carbines are rated as 4 MOA firearms. So anything under 4 inch 100 yd groups is very good accuracy.

Well they were sandbagged front and rear bagged but I was happy. The Iver Johnson I had in the 90's would shoot 4 moa on its best day if it didn't fail to feed or extract. Unfortunately I let it sore me on Carbines for far too long.
