Standard products carbine question

Were there any other contractors supplying hand guards on sp carbines? The sp carbine {#2,225,xxx non rebuild} appears to be all original except the hand guard has a different code. Thanks in advance.

There were two contractors making stocks for Standard Products. Jamestown Lounge (SJ) and Hillerich & Bradsby (S-HB) made stocks from the beginning for them. Now some could have been sent to them as parts needed during production shortages which includes hand guards as well as stocks. Of course a stock marked S-HB could have a hand guard marked SJ
or the other way around.
