it's a 7.2 million range Winchester near the end of production. Not only is the stock wrong but the type 3 barrel band is not a normally found Winchester band.

sorry forgot to let go of it. Tuna notice the unfinish metal on the staking of the windage knob. The finish looks original and the front sight does not look molested in the picture. The stock is an add on but what about that typeIII band?<D> Are there an known examples of this band on late WRA carbines?

Any idea who made that band? Is that a "O" in the diamond? I know there is a diamond "D" T3 band.

I believe it was Donaldson Co.

I think the band like the stock is a replacement. Type 3 bands are known to have been damaged with use. The only thing holding them really is the band spring and bayonets have been known to get stuck in things.

Late barrel, PW oval is visible. If early barrel the type 3 band would cover it up.
