Plainfield Carbine Sold On Gunbroker

Just watched this sell on Gunbroker. Was surprised at the sale price. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/995860047 Wasn't aware that they were selling for so much. Guess I haven't been current in the market for a long time.

I bought one about 20 years ago from a seller on Gun Broker. He showed no pictures but stated it was in nice condition and came with the original stock and a wire stock. He had very good reviews so I bought the gun for $360.

When it arrived it had an original M1A1 paratrooper stock which I sold on ebay for $900. I already had a few GI carbines so I sold the Plainfield for what I had in it @ $360.

Actually that is a pretty good price. Better carbine than a commerciali late Universal carbine.
