New CMP Carbine stocks

Anybody have an opinion of these? I just got one via Fedx today and although it looks pretty nice, the front band trunion is too small to allow the band to grip. It appears to be too narrow (side to side) and too short (not tall enough) for my band to purchase anything even with the screw up tight.

Calipers across the width and height show it to be smaller than the two GI beaters I have in inventory. Really the dimensions I was hoping to correct with this purchase.

I tried to comment on the CMP forum but my membership apparently doesn't let me comment there. Seems weird.

I'll be calling them tomorrow.

I bought one a couple of years ago. It's still in the box. Stock fits but handguard does not. I just don't like the look/ finish of the stock. Used US GI are more appealing, even if birch.
