Carbine Receiver Wrench

My receiver wrench finally died,after a few repairs,any idea who makes a quality one.I don't want to cheap out and ruin a receiver because of a poor quality wrench.Any suggestions would be great.

Just remember to take up any play in the wrench before using it. Have found that duct tapes works well.

Thanks for the replies guys but I don't buy anything from Numrich,those guys are morons,I would rather buy from Riverbank then them and I will never buy from him either.i only had problems with Numrich every time I tried ordering from them.

Thanks for the replies,I bought one like the one from Numrich but not from them,I guess I will try shimming it up with thin brass shims or duct tape.Everywhere I read all the wrenches really do not fit that tight unless you get a USGI set but good luck on that.

I have a set that appears to be exactly like the one shown in the Numrich site. I bought it from a respected dealer and was less than impresed. But it weighs a ton and cost a fortune to ship back, so I decided to make lemonade. The barrel block is not bad but I use a full wrap brass shim to prevent damage to barrel finish. The receiver wrench is super sloppy and (if like mine) you will eventually destroy a receiver if you don't understand the application of shear force and moment, and SHIM to keep the loads off of the weak outside edges of the spring tube. I use brass and steel shims and also wrap the receiver in thin brass to protect the finish. I will say it again, IMHO mine is not a well designed or fabricated wrench and is certainly not USGI. If you want a better system you pay the $ for the two-piece bolt-on receiver wrench or the GI type that also engages the lower receiver lug. I have removed and replaced many barrels with my wrench with no damage done to date but I am very careful with placement of my shims and how I apply my torque. Be very careful. Hope this helps.
