    IBM (M1 Carbine) Serial Number Receiver Dates

    Hello,
    I purchased a IBM (M1 Carbine) and I would like to know what year the receiver was made? Where can I find a list of dates for the receivers? My receiver serial is 38510xx. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

      Ton, According to "The M1 Carbine Owner's Guide" by Ruth and Duff your serial number lands approx. Feb. '44 , but anything is possible. John

          About January 1944 for your serial number. There are no records on line or in books that are accurate.
