    Underwood Laminated Trigger Housing

They look laminated to me? Are these as good as the machined trigger housings?
    Thank You.

In my opinion, as good, yes. There are differences in fit and finish, and feel. I think the milled is a bit heftier, heavier, thicker trigger guards. But the stamped laminated types appear to have better front lugs.
A lot of the manufactures used both types.

Yes they are as good as the machined ones. Underwood started out with machined and switched over to the type 4 during production. IBM only used the type 4 for all of their production. Production was faster using the stamped housing and less man power was needed over all.

I've never seen a laminated one, but I don't have a Underwood either. Have a IBM, SG and Inland.

If you have an original IBM trigger housing then you have one. Stamped or laminated it's the same thing.

I guess I'll get it out and have a look.
