I think this is an interesting youtube video. Since you can see the trail left by the bullet in the video it gives an idea of the trajectory out to 300 yards.

Had a HS teacher who told of shooting at Germans on the other side of a river. Scared 'em off but he said they weren't in any danger from the carbine rounds. Suppose if you got hit with one there might be some dispute.
