    Question on M3 Sniperscope system

    Folks--

Does anyone have a picture of the Rocket Launcher adapter for the M3 Sniperscope Infrared system? I can only find reference to the adapter on the inventory list on the transit case and/or on a tag which states only theater commander can authorize the adapter. any help would be deeply appreicated.

    Cheers

They had a Grenade launcher. Is that what you are looking for?

You would not be using the grenade launcher (rocket launcher) with the M3 scope system on a carbine.

        Folks--

Thanks for your comments however the M3 sniperscope infrared system while being primarily used on the M1 and M2 Carbine had an adapter for mounting the sniperscope on a M20 or M20B1 3.5 inch Bazooka. I am looking a picture of the Bazooka mount for the M3 sniperscope. The grenade launcher for the M1 Carbine is not associated with my question. Thanks again for your input.

        Cheers

Here's text from the NARA listing. These Infantry Board reports frequently contain detailed photos of components. They tested all manner of goofy ideas, so I wouldn't presume this one ever made it to primetime. NARA may or may not photocopy images from the file, but doesn't cost anything to ask. You can also ask them about photographic reproductions, but be prepared to get out your wallet.
