Gunparts. Bayonet lug is on the barrel band. $29.60 for an original parkerized band. There is no op rod in a Carbine. Just a slide. They start at $65.05. Varies by maker. $206.90 for a Winchester slide. Slide lock and spring are not included. $4.35 or $3.70 for the former, depending on which one he needs. $2.45 for the spring.

      Sunray,

Thanks for the info. I have provided him phone numbers for two sources of parts and the price info you posted above. This should get
him to someone who has the parts.

I am curious as to why he needs a type 3 barrel band? If it's a USGI carbine then it's maker and serial number dependent as to the type 3 band with the lug. Only Inland and Winchester had the type 3 band. None of the other makers ever used it. All of those carbines were changed post war. I would hate to see a type 1 or type 2 band carbine be ruined in a sense by changing the barrel band.

I don't know the man needing the parts. Someone has given him my name as a source of parts. That is incorrect as I only have my personal stash of parts for the 1922 series and 1903 Springfields. As a fellow gun enthusiast I was just trying to help him. He only specified that he wanted milsurp parts instead of replicas. Thanks to all forum members who have helped.
