I bought 3 from CMP and a Winchester from a neighbor. Traded the Winni to my son for a door opener, He'll treasure the Winchester longer than I would. I'm constantly looking for another bargain Carbine. Learned a lot on this forum, hope it doesn't die.

The prices being asked for carbines now at gun shows and in gun and pawn shops make me glad I got most of mine from CMP.
Working in corrections can be good experience for a young person, if you know when to quit!

I have acquired 3 over the years. Last one I bought was a 5 digit Inland for $240.00. It's a blu sky but a good shooter.

My one and only is a non-import IP and I was lucky enough to get it for less than $200, although that was almost 30 years ago.

Yes, we're still here although nothing new to say from my side. Last M1 carbine purchase
I made was about 7 years ago. Got a "like new" Winchester in an auction. It appears
to be an unissued, late war example. I never fired it an it remains in my safe. It was
expensive, but I've never seen a nicer one.

                  Mike, I am with you!

I found my Winchester at an out of the way gun shop 30 years ago. Same condition. What is the SN range of yours?

                  Thank You.
