    Standard Products with WRA barrel

Hi All, picked up the mentioned carbine at a gun show this weekend. It is an exel import with later features, but has an "N" marked front sight. Is there any chance that Standard Products used any Winchester barrels? Thanks for any help.

Winchester only used their own barrels. Odds are the Underwood is a replacement during a rebuild.

Standard Products used a few Winchester barrels. They also used the N marked front sight during most of their production.

What about the short period of time when Winchester bought out the parts stocks of those companies who's orders had been cancled ?

Not likely as barrels were always in short supply and Winchester was able to hold their own with production of them and Underwood could make all that were need. In fact they had a contract after their production ended to make replacement barrels. Winchester bought receivers from Underwood and may have picked up odds and ends from others but the vast majority was their own production. The makers knew their contracts were ending and so made parts to just fill the end of the contracts where possible. Not a lot of left overs.
