    Correct underwood front barrel band

What is the correct front barrel band for an Underwood carbine in the 4,070,xxx serial number range? Type1a or could it be a type 2? Thanks in advance

What is the barrel date on the carbine? I think it is too early for a type 2 barrel band.

Go with type 1. Underwood did use type 2 bands but it was in very late production. I've only seen a couple of original guns with type 2s, they were 6.14 million serial numbers if I remember correctly.

A type 1A unmarked band is correct for your Underwood. The type 2 band was used at the end of Underwood's production in small numbers.
