Bula Defense Systems XM21 with CBR stock.

Bula and Jeff have done it again.
Just when I thought the herd was complete, they come out with something new and different.
At Camp Perry in July I could not take my eyes off of their XM21 CBR stock. Naturally , one had to follow me home. Just finished setting it up with a Magpull adjustable cheek rest butt stock. I think this might just be the cat's meow for a lightweight composite stock for use in the prone position.
This one is equiped with a Bula NM med weight barrel that has been clipped and crowned at 20". All main rifle parts including the receiver are made by Bula. Atlas bipod and the rifle is topped of with a Leupold MK 4 3.5 - 10.
Hope to shoot this combination later today for a system test.

Took her out for a spin on the range. Weighs in at 12lb as in photo with a full mag.
Not to shabby for a kitchen table build. 100 with 4Xs.

Waiting on a replacement device for the pistol grip. Should be A OK anywhere then. I could paint it florescent orange too.

That's cool, but it needs something on the end of the barrel...

One click up in elevation and I could have had 8Xs.

I used to think so too. Our fine state in it's wisdom is making it difficult, if not expensive to place a muzzle device on an M-14 barrel. Just ordered 3 more LRB brakes, which are legal here. I would prefer standard flash suppressors but until we change the rules for CT they will have to remain in storage. 3 dozen just waiting for the word.

Hawk's complaint was that there was no place for one of his kits. I kinda agree. It's all fun.

Nice rifle...Do you stick with the same type reticle on all your rifles, if I remember right you have several different types of glass on them. Which Berger bullet are you using. I shoot the VLD Match and love them.

I have TMR,Mil dot and a few with the old target dot. I used to use the 135 gr Berger FB until they stopped making them. Now the 150 gr FB works for me.

NY and CT compliant XM21. Eliminated the muzzle device and pistol grip.

You got to do what you got to do but in Kansas we brake and we use pistol grips....suppressors...uh BA 50s with surplus tracers ( never when its dry out).

Yea, the powers here only let us have what we had before they put in new laws a few years ago. Anything built now has to comply.
This is an old AR pistol in the herd.
