how do you keep the 1 screw secured.
I had a generation 3 springfield mount and could not get it to stay tight for more then 7 rounds with loctite even.Comment

Pretty simple, I clean and de-grease both the bolt and the receiver hole and have used a dozen different single points with " none" coming loose. A problem many have is over torquing the bolt so it's tendency spring back causes trouble.
Also etching the mating surface of the bolt head and mount helps.Comment

Very nice looking rifle! The XM-21 was an outstanding performer - used by Sgt. A. Waldron - who was the top scoring US sniper in Vietnam. He also used a PVS-2 night vision scope to very good effect - something the M14 could easily mount that the M-40/Marine Bolt guns could not, limiting them to daytime actions only. We used the Starlight scopes on our M14s for perimeter guard around the airbase at Chu Lai while I was there. Very effective for the time 1967 and 1968.Very nice looking rifle!
