    New Garand

    Just received this service grade from the CMP. It has lock bar rear sights, the receiver has a 12-44 serial number date range, the barrel is dated 12-44 and the operating rod is an uncut rod. The stock has a faint stamp from the Ogden Arsenal. The CMP letter of authenticity is date December 7. My other M1 is a mix master of parts. I'm jazzed about this recent purchase.

          Looks like a nice one. I detest the new production/contemporary wood, and having a dense GI stock is the only way to go.
