I just pick up my latest purchase, a SA M1 #5314546. The rifle is sporting a 3-54 bbl which also has a "T" stamped to the left of all other markings. It does not have any NM parts but thought that maybe it might have been a contender since it has the "T" mark bbl. Any info would be appreciated. I am new to collecting Garands and still leaning. When I purchased this rifle at an auction I had hoped that it might be a diamond in the rough so to speak.
