    Probably Feb 1942.

What date is the barrel and what type rear sight do you have.

Winchester M1 rifle barrels were not dated during World War 2 production, only the drawing number on top, plus the WP proof on the
side, sometimes a flaming bomb stamp

"...when in 1941..." That may require the whole S/N. S/N 145,000 is definitely 1942 though.
However, like m1ashooter says, S/N 145,000 is highly likely to be Feb. of 1942. S/N 144,110 was the last used in January. S/N 149,130 the last in Feb. Both being the Receiver.
The chances of the barrel not having been changed in over 70 years are slim anyway.
              Spelling and grammar count!

hi guys , sorry the serial number 145, 0XX, so it looks like feb 1942,
barrel is a Winchester very crude finish, do not
believe its a replacement a old cmp gun purchased long
                before prices went nuts.

wish I could find a reasonable [ cheap] solid butt plate & winny stock

Winchester no trap W.R.A. W.B. cartouched stocks will vary in price depending on condition of the stock
or if it was altered to trapdoor then changed back to no trap. This cartouched has been faked alot and
and Rick Borecky is the person to have check any cartouches. he may also have the correct WRA stock
you need in different grades and conditions to fit your price range.

The solid butt plate also has been faked alot, originals run anywhere from from $600 to $900 the checkering
                  pattern is different from SA
