    Recovered M14 drill bolts

There is a gent on a couple of forums that is selling recovered USGI drill bolts. Had to check them out so I ordered a couple. One each SA and HRT. Arrived today and first impression is that he has done a very nice job. Bolts came stripped and they accepted internals nicely with firing pin protrusion in the right area. These look so nice I think I may request a few more for the stash.

Question is are the re-heat treated or is the bolt of this need?

Looking back over the years in many articles about re-claimed bolts, I could not find a single person that had any malfunctions.

Since I have more on the way, I decided to install the SA in one of my goofy rifles. This is a Bula T44 receiver with 17.75" Bula med weight NM barrel that was cut down and crowned.
Replaced a TRW that the rifle had been headspaced for, no adjustments needed.

This looked like a good place to use my recently engraved RWB op rod.

These photos are of her before the custom op rod and SA bolt were added this morning.
