Recommendations for stiffening the USGI mold stock for the M14?

I recall that Gus Fisher, mentioned to stiffen the forearm of the M14 USGI stock.

What have other used or devised?

I'm thinking about the AL angle in-letted into the barrel channel and held JB-Weld.

Any one developed a one-piece form that can be glued?
