        My buddy built this site. It discusses how we built a couple of Garands up from parts.

        I created the excel spreadsheet you can download on his site.

        The M1 Garand rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised. Build an M1 garand from parts. Remove bluing and parkerize steel. Gun cleaning, restoration, repair, and history."


        There is also a couple of links to a WW2 trip we took a few years back.

          Nice site........... many good ideas and such here. I have been building the M1 since 1956.... then the M14 in the 60's....
          Retired ARMORER -- US NAVY and ARMY..... Many MATCH and Sniper rifles built....!!
          The .45's are no challenge at all... built about 600 of them over the years.... top
