    Winter shop play.

I originally put this JRA group buy receiver together with mixed parts laying around the shop. Now it's time to make things a bit different. Had a Bula suppressor ready 16.5 in barrel and a Winchester bolt installed. Since then I have decided to use one of the Saturn/Liberty SS heavy 22" barrels off the shelf along with one of my USGI SA kits. Cold weather is good for something. Started taking it apart this morning. Whatta Hobby!

Here we go. Added as new USGI bolt , op rod, Trigger group and other small parts. Fits nicely on my last T44 stock. Whatta Hobby!

Very nice but that goes w/o saying.

If you ever want another T44 stock Dupage Trading has them every so often. Currently out of stock of course but they do stock them from time to time. I suppose they only buy a couple at a time to re-sell. As said before, I bought one years ago from Macon stocks when he was selling on ebay.

faithful reproduction of the original M14 stock, including the M1 style buttplate. We matched the original USGI external profile and precision CNC inletted the stock for a drop in fit. We have eliminated the unsightly Full Auto Selector cutout on the right side of the stock that is unnecessary on semi-automatic M14s and M1A’s.

Thanks, I bought a few from Dupage myself. I think that may even be where this on came from. Bula had some too and I picked up some from them that looked like the same maker as Dupage. The T44 repro receivers were novelty for a short time so naturally I had to have stocks to go with them and decided that stock was great for accurate M14s also. Whatta Hobby!

I knew the T-44 stock was part of the transition from Garand to M14 but never knew of a T-44 marked receiver. I guess you're into BM-59's as well?

          Thanks for the extra pics.

Nope, not at all. Way too many M1s and M14s. Never had any interest in the BM-59. I did help an enthusiast find a barrel for one he was working on. Whatta Hobby!

sold a nice BM59 last month, all beretta and a factory Springfield receiver,
one of those made from parts as springfield back in teh 80's, likely the parts came from Reese

got a BM62 in inventory now, BerBen import, in great shape

                Wouldn't know a BM62 if I tripped over it.

No doubt on seeing them. Just never paid that much attention. Interest in the other rifles has taken up all my interest.

Still messing with this rifle. Set a Leupold MK4 M1-16x on a Basset mount using Leupold QRW rings. Stuck a TAC-PRO cheek riser on the butt. Really looking forward to some agreeing weather to run her through her function and accuracy tests. Whatta Hobby!
