Garandsmith Near Augusta, GA?

Working on a WWII Garand restoration and need to get a barrel installed and headspaced. Curious if there is a good Garandsmith near me... Perhaps somewhere along the I-20 corridor from Columbia, SC to Atlanta?

If not, who do you guys recommend?

There's nobody in GA still alive better than Hook Boutin, if you have your parts, but I believe he's across the State over near Columbus. I'd say check with Hammonjoe on the M14 Forum web board, as he sees Hook a lot.

You might want to try Tim Shuffin (Shuff's) he has a quick turn around. Or Contact "Chuck in Denver" he can be found on the '03 section, I believe he also does garands

I've had work done by Tim Shufflin at Shuff's Parkerizing (he's about an hour from me). He does great work, and yes, a very quick turnaround!
