got a winchester m1 garand 1.3 million serial op rod questions

It has a later Un-cut op rod (D35382wra) angle cut with out the - in front of the wra. Real nice condition. My question is..shall I leave it be or hunt down the correct op-rod? Opinion on this will be appreciated. ..thanks

That op rod is quite valuable to collectors. My 1.3 million WRA rifle has a 'cut' op rod with the slant feature. I would advise you to leave it be. Or, we could trade even steven. 8-)

I believe a lot of collectors think the - oprod would be more appropriate for rifles in that serial range; however, I have seen trigger housings in that range without the - so I would not be in a hurry to change it. Either way it is a nice oprod mostly seen in the late 2.48 to 2.5 range.

Only if you also have the other rifle.

It's a time and money thing. If you have lots of either, go nuts, but it will not enhance the value of your rifle or make it shoot better.
