    Ihc m-1 d

    A friend is looking at an M-1d that is built on an IHC receiver. No CMP papers. Does this sound legit, as in, were IHC receivers used for D's? I'm not able to see it in person. Thanks, Ken

      They were all SA. Maybe someone has more info than me, but I think I'm correct.

          There are documented examples of SA, HRA and Winchester M-1Ds but I haven't seen or heard of a documented IHC.

              my understanding is that the marines would build what they needed when they needed it, a garand was just a garand.
