Adjustble Gas Plugs: Schuster vented vs. Garand Gear ported

Anyone out there using either a Schuster or a Grand Gear ported gas plug in their Garands? I know Schuster has been around and has the name that is associated with this sort of thing. I'm just curious if it lives up to the hype and tones down the impulse of commecial ammo..

I have one but I reload all my ammo. As I use 4895 only I thought I'd try one. It didn't work with my lighter loads as it vented off pressure needed to operate the bolt. I went back to a regular gas plug. They will work on commericial ammo.
