Going to a show tomorrow looking for a good reference book/books on the M1 carbine & the Garand (WW2). Thoughts?

Reisch and Poyer on the carbine, Scott Duff on the M1. Just a quick thought.

Larry Ruth's War Babies for the carbine, Duff for the Garand. Canfield's book also makes contributions.

I get all I can. Each one has varying levels of info unique to the particular author.

Stay away from Poyer if you want accurate info. All books have mistakes but he is #1 on that.

Agree on Larry Ruth on the M1 Carbine.
