    Remembering Hook

Hook Boutin passed away this morning. His family has not released any other information yet. The world is diminished with his passing. JT

Hook was the top of the craft with the classic U.S. service rifles and always a gentleman.

Wonderful man. Never could afford to have him prepare a rifle. Would have been a joy. May God bless his family. Sincerely. bruce.

I only know Hook by his reputation and I'm sure many will be saddened by his passing. Seems many of us who work on these old fashioned, wood and steel, gas guns are drawing closer to the same condition. God speed Hook...

I forget the source, but the quote, "When an old man dies, a library is burnt to the ground", comes to mind

So very sad. Always a perfect gentleman and always offering a helping hand. He worked on several M1's for me and built up several for a friend of mine. For some reason he was always hesitant in taking money for his work. Really enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed.
