          Winchester large pad

The large pad would be used in a restoration but not really required. Sometimes there is a
problem using the later "round top" safety in a large pad trigger housing. Most SA and
Winchester trigger housings had the pad modified to a smaller size.

If you are using a Winchester safety with the flat top (which would be correct for your rifle)
and the large pad WRA housing, everything would be correct and will work

              large pad housing

Photo of a SA round top safety in a large pad Winchester trigger housing

Second photo is a very early Springfield housing "without" a pad
