Holbrook Device

I have a holbrook device that was made from aluminum rather than steel and it has been getting nicks in it from the opp rod, is anyone having problems with this issue?

There's probably nothing you can do about it. Steel is a lot tougher than aluminum. Maybe you can sand or file off the high spots around the dings if they're causing malfunctions. Just sayin'

Steel is a lot harder than aluminum. Suspect an Al device will wear out a lot faster too.
The Holbrook Device isn't necessary anyway. Garand Thumb is caused by operator failure.

Garand Thumb is only one issue that is dealt with when you have a Holbrook Device. The nicest thing that I find is the ability to top off the mags any time you want to and you have control over when you want to eject the mag.

The Holbrook Device has no effect on M1 Thumb.
