    Help ID'ing M14 Part

I found this part and would like to know what it is for. I believe it is for an M14 rifle.

Looks like the attaching hardware for a scope mount. Ths single screw attaches the mount to the receiver. The screw that is in the block looking piece replaces the charger guide. Regards, Johnny Lawson

        Very interesting find.
Looks possibly to be the fasteners for a star light scope mount vintage '60s. Replaces the charger clip guide and is windage adjustable.
        Just a guess.
Going to keep an eye on this thread for further identifications.

What it is... ART II M21 scope mount screws and clip guide replacement for the rear screw. These were commercial parts, not GI, but made by Leatherwood. The screws are still available through Iron Sight, Inc., but the clip guide part was out of stock last I heard.
