Found a box of ammo that I need to identify

Head stamp is HXP over 63 with green sealant around primers(3 punch marks around primers), bullets mike .308, any help would be greatly appreciated? No note in box as to what this is. 30.06 ball?
    TIA, Steve

1963 Greek production .30-06. It should be good shooting stuff.

I have found that 63 is very accurate in my M1

It should say 30 M2 ball on the box. That is 3006 in military jargon

HXP Ball ammo is great stuff... very accurate and non-corrosive! I have several cans of the stuff with head stamps ranging from 62 to 86. Bang away and enjoy!

NO markings on the box it was shipped in, this stuff is on 5 round stripper clips from shipper. Thanks for confirming my thoughts(suspicions).

Incidentally, the three punch marks are the way the Greeks staked the primers rather than crimping them. Much easier to swage before reloading than standard crimps like on Lake City primers.
