    Buffer Tube?

Fixed stock setup all take the same length tube? A1, A2, SP1? Screw different lengths?

actually, it is called the receiver extension,

and yes, all fixed stocks are the same length,

you will need a longer screw, and spacer, if you go with an A2 length stock, vs the A1/SP1

It doesn't. What it shows it there are people out there peddling parts etc. that don't have a clue as to what they are selling. I am going to delete my post and you have my sincerest apologies for ruining your life with a light hearted experience. I won't bother you again, so sorry, you can go back to your safe room now.

Just curious, how many members have posted on this thread in the past month? I would think that somebody with interest in M-16's would appreciate anecdotes and tales about them. But obviously I am dim and you are bright... Sooo it is all yours, good luck with it.

BTW how long have you been a LEO?

            hmmmmm

            did you read my post,

a fixed stock Receiver Extensions (the tube the buffer fits in) are the same for rifles,

            the stocks are different lengths,,,

hence the spacer and longer (or no spacer and shorter) screws,

there are a few excepts to this , pistols being one of them

Question. can a pistol length buffer spring an tube be used if building a 20 inch ar, or would the extra pressure generated ruin the tube an spring assembly?

What length gas tube. You will probably have a timing issue with that set up. A different weight buffer will probably be required. That combination I have not played with.
