    AR-15 / AR10 barrel nut wrench question

    Nephew is coming down to shoot his AR-10 . Wanted to check his barrel nut tourge . I have a old ar-15 barrel nut wrench , will it fit the AR-10 ? Thanks , Kenneth

    Depends on the AR 10, that platform is all over the place and nothing is standardized. Our DMRs are just a couple years old. Now they’ve came out with a G2 version. The barrel nut is different as a weight saving measure. So the bottom line is I can’t help you much.

      I've got three wrenches now. There are different nuts now for AR15s, depending on the float tube you have. Try what you have, if the pins line up, you're OK. If not, you'll need to go shopping.

        Thank you . We didn't get to the AR-10 today . Bolt guns took all our time . Working on barrel break in on a new rifle he bought and a couple loads I had worked loads up for took the day . But thanks for the information , Kenneth
