What did you pay for your ar15

    Back in 1976, I bought a Colt AR15 for $250. Last Summer, I bought a DPMS M4 Carbine for $913. Also, this past January I paid $149 for 500 rounds of .223.

Ten years ago, I bought a Rock River National Match for $800. About 5 years ago, I went to a gun show and bought all the pieces at various vendors, assembled it there with borrowed tools. I paid about $550 for everything, I think the barrel was $75. I shot it across the course in a practice match and it didn't do half bad!

                          $1000 less than my optic.

I'm learning that the rifle is just a platform to support the glass.

1977 I paid $241 for a new Colt SP1 AR-15. I had a friend wth an FFL and he charged me dealer price and did not make a penny. I still have the rifle.
