Never thought about it until now. If Springfield ever made any A3's, I don't think I've ever seen one.

No...
the alterations to the original 1903 were a result of Remington's work in simplifying and reducing the cost of producing the 1903, which was the rifle they originally contracted with the government to build. The final result was the 1903A3, which was also built by Smith-Corona, but never by Springfield.

Sometimes, you see "generic" rifles referred to as the 1903A3 Springfield", but such descriptions are not correct."We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst."

Springfield was too busy cranking out M1 rifles.Phillip McGregor (OFC)
"I am neither a fire arms nor a ballistics expert, but I was a combat infantry officer in the Great War, and I absolutely know that the bullet from an infantry rifle has to be able to shoot through things." General Douglas MacArthurComment

They did produce large numbers of M1903 parts and continue to overhaul M1903s throughout most of WWII."We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst."
