[/B] Can't help you with the rings and mount but Bill Ricca still lists original M1903A4 lateral screws in his Collectors Corner.

This one was a walk in at a Jackson, Mississippi show about 1995 or so, and it was also $500. One of the best original 03-A4 rifles I have seen, and in just the configuration as shown.

Please show a pic of the entire rifle. Any idea of its value?

What "parts" are you going to have to find? Looks like all you're missing are the scope and rings. The rifle has been overhauled, and refinished, of course.

                Rick,

That is what I meant by parts. Here in Florida there is a 4-500 table gun show in two weeks. Will look there. Of course will be looking around the net also.

Full length photos are too small to tell much about the rifle. Here it is in two halves.

At the time an average 03-A4 with scope was selling for about $600. The owner had told me he was bringing it to the show, and sure enough showed up early Saturday morning. While I was looking at it he told me he wanted to walk the show and could he leave it at my table. He then told me he wanted $600, but that if I didn't want it to sell it and keep $100 for myself. I couldn't believe the condition, so I immediately ask if would just take the $500 on the spot, which he did.

                              One of my luckier days.

Questions about values always involve opinions but I would say $6500.00 + would be the floor for a rifle like Johnny's. Its basically a matter of all the traffic will bear.

On the other rifle there are a lot of scopes that you could use on an A4 and be correct but a more realistic price for a nice M73B1 which is the the most correct scope and rings would be about $1300 to $1600.
