I have just bought a nice 1903A1 Springfield, serial number 1397462 barrel date SA 10-31, Bolt lug marked C7 any info available? thanks

Bolt should be marked NS. The C7 ( according to J.B.s bolt chart ) is from 1917 - 1918. The original owner probably swapped because the earlier bolt was "slicker".
