            USMC rifle SA 1031506

Thanks for the check on my four digit serial numbers.

This SA serial number 1031506 was purchased in the early 1960's and believed to be a USMC
rifle, but to date without a SRS "hit"P1010012_0012.jpgP1010013_0013.jpgP1010015_0015.jpgP1010017_0017.jpgP1010035_0033.jpg barrel is Sedgley 9-41

Anytime. Yeah that one is very safe to say as being a Marine rifle. There absolutely no doubt in my opinion.

There is a hit about 16 digits off to a 2nd Marine Regiment rifle. The Marines did have a directive that low numbers were not to be used with Rifle Grenades, so you see a lot of high numbers going to the Infantry. So never know, a close 2nd Regiment hit, and a 9/41 barrel date, one starts to wonder where it might have served. Wouldn't it be neat to know?
